Jawatan Kosong PBAPP - Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP) was incorporated in 1999. We are a private limited company that serves as the licensed water operator for the State of Penang in Malaysia. As a holistic water supplier, our responsibilities encompass the extraction of raw water; the treatment of raw water; the distribution and supply of treated water; and billing for water supply services. Since water supply is an essential service, PBAPP and PBA Holdings Bhd are controlled by the Penang State Government to protect public interests.

1. Secretary

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient and effective management for all support functions
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained
  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of inwards and outwards mail
  • Ensure effective meeting management, producing and circulating agendas, minutes and meeting papers as required
  • Ensure all documents and services are complied with the legislation

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent qualification (approved by MQA)
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in secretarial or related fields
  • Ability to organize and priorities work effectively
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mature with a pleasant personality
  • Initiative and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to do multi-task and work under pressure
  • Able to manage confidentiality

2. Clerial Officer (Finance)

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure amendments capture the actual revenue
  • Minimize amendments to reflect the actual revenue
  • Ensure all adjustments done to reflect the actual usage and consumes are billed accordingly
  • Ensure the adjustments done are captured and closed accordingly to the Water Billing Schedule
  • Attend internal queries on amendment issues
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time

Requirements:
  • SPM with credits in Mathematics and English/ Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification (approved by MQA)
  • Preferably 1 year working experience in Finance
  • Good accounting knowledge will be an added advantage
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude, highly initiative and able to work independently with minimal supervision

3. Executive (Internal Audit)

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the Internal Audit Department
  • Review and evaluate the overall operational and risk control
  • Document audit findings and highlight areas of concern, weaknesses and/or improvement, meeting recommendations for further actions to address issues identified
  • Provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Manager
  • Assist the Manager on administrative matters of the Internal Audit Department
  • Ensure confidentiality of official documents and matters of the department and company
  • Ensure proper documentation compliance of the department’s decision and policies

Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification (approved by MQA)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar position
  • Good knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, procedures and requirement
  • Possess ability to use judgement and skepticism to conduct audit work
  • Possess analytical skills, high integrity and result oriented
  • Good report writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Mature with a pleasant personality
  • Initiative and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to do multi-task and work under pressure in a demanding environment
  • Able to manage confidentiality

4. Technician

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all as-built drawings are accurately updated into GIS
  • Ensure timely printing of GIS plan for internal and external customer
  • Ensure GIS tasks comply to ISO standards
  • Ensure accurate generation of statistics
  • Inspection for water catchment areas and preparation of reports

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification (approved by MQA)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in related field
  • Good knowledge in GIS database development, data collection and conversion, development and manipulation using software
  • Knowledge in GPS and related usage
  • Proficient in both written and spoken in Bahasa Malaysia and English
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude, highly initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision
