Jawatan Kosong Proton - PERUSAHAAN OTOMOBIL NASIONAL BERHAD or PROTON was incorporated on May 7, 1983 to manufacture, assemble and sell motor vehicles and related products, including accessories, spare parts and other components. PROTON produced Malaysia’s first car, the Proton SAGA, commercially launched on July 9, 1985 by Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who had originally conceived the idea of a Malaysian car. Our main plant in Shah Alam, with an area of 923,900 sq metres, was originally designed for a capacity of 80,000 units per year. In 1997, capacity increased to 230,000 units per year with the construction of the Medium Volume Factory which is next to the Main Plant. Now the Shah Alam factory is capable of producing 240,000 vehicles per year.

Head, Learning & Development

Responsibilities:

• Create, execute and develop strategic competencies and ensure sustainability of training programs to drive the Company Culture
• Drive the realization of the Company Corporate University by preparing the competency of future Resource Persons (Lecturers and Administrators) through the Trainer / Lecturer / Instructor Development Program, and Academic Skills program through collaborative association with Universities and higher Learning
• Create and implement the learning strategy to support continuous learning in the Company
• Participate in the annual Company strategy planning and needs assessment process to identify opportunities for learning solutions to drive the business forward
• Forecast resource requirements in related to learning to meet the needs identified in strategic planning process
• Coordinate and deliver presentations to management and stakeholders on educational and learning programs to ensure learning solutions are aligned and integrated with the company-wide talent management processes and systems
• Team and individual TNA; work with Department Heads to identify training needs, form and action plan and implement appropriate training solutions to meet competence requirements
• Prepare training schedules fore different Business Units & Functional training programs within the Company
• Establish and manage learning alliances and strategic partnerships with consultants, colleges, universities, government, industry groups and vendors to develop and/or deliver training
• Manage a network of external suppliers including consultants, vendors, educational institutions and professionals as well as internal resources that will develop and/or deliver training
• Develop and maintain an external network of contacts for benchmarking, industry and leadership development initiatives
• Prepare and plan regular audits of the training & competence system
• Evaluate of Education Assistance Program and Training Policies

Requirements:

• Degree in Human Resource Development, Business Administration, Management or any related discipline
• Applicants with master in Business Administration will be an added advantage
• Minimum 10 years experience in related field
• Certified ISO Internal Auditor is a must, being a certified trainer is an added advantage
• Experienced in Training Need Analysis exercise
• Understanding on HRDF process claim for TDM fund
• Ability to multi-task, highly numerate, strong decision making with great attention to details
